Church Sunday Services 9.45am to 11am

We at St Matthew's Church, Eye. Offer the warmest welcome to everyone. we would love to reach out to more people to become part of our Church family and community, From making friends and supporting one another, to encouraging the next generation in Our Faith club, where we pass on our core values in a fun learning style, that's upbeat and modern. Why not come to a service, stay for a hot drink and chat and see what St Matthew's has to offer you.

Family service & Informal service

1st and 3rd Sunday of each month

In Family service we sing modern worship songs with a live band and the children love to get involved. It's really upbeat with a real sense of community in celebrating all that the church has to offer. we finish up with a lovely warm drink, cake or biscuits and It's always nice to catch up with friendly faces.

Holy Communion & Faith club - (Sunday School)

2nd and 4th Sunday of each Month

We offer Holy communion celebrating our togetherness as Christians and of God. You can also choose to have a blessing or do none of these we're just happy to see you. We also offer Sunday School for the children during Holy Communion.

wednesday's open church 11am till 2pm every week

we invite everyone to attend, whether you are a regular member of our congregation, a newcomer, a non-believer, or even if you are just struggling with something and need support. we offer a friendly ear but also time to just sit and contemplate in a place of peace if that is your wish.

The church will be managed with people available for prayer if requested but no formal service will take place. There will also be hot refreshments available.

Our Story

A Welcoming Church at the Heart of Eye, Peterborough

St Matthews Church stands as a beacon of faith in Eye and the surrounding areas. We would love to welcome more people to our beautiful Church. We have everything from Family services, Holy communion, Sunday School and many events throughout the year. We are a place of prayer, A congregation filled with love, peace and joy to all who join us. Our community is richly diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together as a community to worship and help one another. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their heart. St Matthew's also has a great relationship with Eye, Church of England School, Together working in partnership we help teach children good morals and celebrate core christian values.
